Sweet Bengal
Some say they are God’s creations. Some say, they are works of art. Whatever be their description, Bengali sweets are adored by connoisseurs of taste. Their subtle flavours and variations have been the subject of poems and songs. So why not share their heavenly taste with the wider world outside Bengal?
With this humble desire, Sweet Bengal sourced artisans and craftsmen from different parts of Bengal to create this rare entity of handicraft. The journey began in 1995 with the commencement of its first outlet. From 1 to 34 outlets today, it has been a meticulous journey of creating a rare ensemble of heavenly delicacies like Rosogolla, Sondesh, Mishti Doi and more with the consistency of fine art for the discerning palate.
With a rare confluence of some of the purest ingredients from fresh cow’s milk sourced from world class farms, pure ghee all the way to adding the required natural essences, it has been a creation of Bengali Mishti, that is not just rare but also divine. Master craftsmen who have come from Bengal have created an amazing variety of authentic Bengali desserts and mouthwatering seasonal innovations tasted, not just by Bengalis but by everyone else.
Various kinds of Sondesh, Kheer Kodom, Chomchoms, Rosogollar Payesh and Baked Mihidana along with snacks like Koraishutir Kochuri and Luchi Aloor Dom quickly established Sweet Bengal as the favourite destination for Bengali sweets in Mumbai. With its state of the art and ISO 22000 Certified central confection factory it serves 34 Sweet Bengal outlets across Mumbai & Pune. It is hard to find a Bengali who is not in love with their ‘mishti’. Kolkatans are incredibly proud of the sweets of Bengal and their unique appeal. And for a good reason too — Bengali sweets have wooed Indians and foreigners alike.
